Well, here we are again. Ready for the next episode of Penang: The Road Trip? This episode we'll be exploring the clubbing scene in Penang, and there'll be lots of pics of crazy drunk people as promised. So, first up, here's....*buzz*crackle*squeal*static*...
We interrupt this program to bring you a very important announcement from our host and sponsor, Betty. On this day(or night, rather), Betty wishes to let all her valued fans know that she's very tired and unfortunately, really not up to uploading pics of crazy drunk people, and writing stupid things about them. She wishes her fans to know that her job, although not as important as her fans, of course, is demanding much of her time these last few days, and she will have to devote her Saturday(that's tomorrow) to working.
She also wishes her fans to know that due to low financial funds, it is impossible for her to give up her job and focus solely on JustBetty, no matter how many of her fans have written to her begging her to do that. However, she promises that the next installment of the highly entertaining sitcom, Penang: The Road Trip, will be aired as soon as possible. So don't touch that dial, Penang: The Road Trip will be right back.
Thank you for tuning in. :D

Penang: The Setting
Posted by Hazellie at 4:00 AMOk, here's the next episode of Penang: The Road Trip. This is where I'll introduce the setting, ie. the scenery. Not that it needs much introducing, esp. if you're a Penangite, but let's just assume for the sake of making me look worldly, that Penang is this new place no one's ever heard of and that I'm a pioneer who explored it and am sharing my adventures with the world now. *smirk*
So firstly and most importantly, here's the picture of the beach, which, btw, I didn't get a chance to play in...:( Long story, grrr...bad timing, long queues, necessary situations, rain, and Shijin's accident(he twisted his ankle while Captain Laughter and he were fooling around at the poolside, I wasn't there) is just a couple of factors which kept me from the beach. But that's ok, since it wasn't really all that clean anyway. Sighz...
Nextly(hehe*snort*), the poolside... Or rather, a picture of me and my gfs at the poolside.
I would've posted up a picture of the pool, unfortunately, I don't have one. *red-faced* Ok, it's like this, my annoying brother stole my camera, as usual, and didn't charge the battery before returning it to me. And I brought it to Penang with the battery in critical stage, it was about right after we took this picture that the camera died, and I spent the whole day after that without a camera. Thank god I took the charger with me. Humphh!
Ok, fine, I admit it! I'm a terrible adventurer! Even after I charged the camera, it totally slipped my mind to come back to the poolside for pictures. Some pioneer I make, huh? *blek* But honestly, *ahem* timing did not allow for it. We were just running around most of the 2nd day, buying those famous tau sa peng Penang was so famous for, and the 3rd day we hardly had time to do much of anything before we left for home. Still, I will admit that there were way too many photo opportunities that I let go of. :( Well, forgive me and I promise I'll do better next time. In the meantime, be satisfied with the picture of the 3 of us at the poolside. ;D
Next! Our suite. This is just the hall of our two-bedroom suite...and *defiantly* I don't have any pics of our bedroom or the rest of the suite. Unless you consider the pic of the 3 of us in the bedroom, not that you can see much of it. LOL! This is a fun episode, isn't it.
Better pics coming up, the scenery from our suite! This is from our hall balcony,
and this is from our bedroom balcony. At least I gave you the view! I'm not that hopeless, after all! *smugness*This next one is the view from Gurney drive, the 3 of us were looking for good food, and thought we'd find it there, but unfortunately...*sad sigh* they were closed. (Another long story, part of the first long story. They were closed because it was 4 in the evening, and we were late having our lunch because we were buying tau sa peng in the city, we got lost while looking for the place, then there was the long queue, then there was the looking for a place to eat and not finding one. Hence the missing of the beach. Sighz...) Well, at least we got this great pic of the scenery from there. :DAnd here is the Penang Bridge road. Didn't get the view from the Penang Bridge, just the road. Took this one while we were on the way back to KL, had to try many times before we could get a shot while Png was looking at the camera. LOL! It's not easy to look at the camera while driving, after all. He wasn't exactly looking at the camera this time either, but at least you can see his side profile. Hehe!
Actually, we did try to get a pic of the view from Penang Bridge, but we didn't quite cut it. You can see the railings of the bridge from this pic though, and if you really squint, you can see some landscape at the middle right of the window.
That's all for today, the next episode will be about the clubbing scene in Penang. I promise it'll have better pics. Of drunk people. If there's one thing I'm really good at, it's taking pics of drunk people acting crazy in clubs. *grin* Excited? I am!

Penang: The Characters
Posted by Hazellie at 5:24 AMSince I'm too lazy to go to bed now and have some free time, let me bore you with details about my road trip to Penang with my ex-schoolmates. Besides, this is the first time I'm uploading pics onto a blog of mine, and I just wanna see if it works. ;P
Anyway, I think I'm going to divide this into a few posts, because I'm predicting that I'm going to be quite longwinded. :P So what I'm going to do today is introduce the people and the settings. Or whatever.
Ok, below is Exhibit A, it's a picture of Eva and Png. Eva is a new friend, not an ex-schoolmate, but she's cool, so we'll give her a membership. *grin* Png is our beloved driver, who's always been there whenever we needed a lift. And here he is again to save the day.
Next, I shall introduce my bestest, bestest mates, who by the way, can be quite annoying sometimes too. Here are...*drumroll*.... Margaret and Charmin! Margaret's the one on my left, and Charmin's on the right. I've known both of them for so long, don't ask me to count the years, coz I don't want to hurt my brain so late in the night. Just trust me when I say we've known each other for ages. Maybe I should find new friends...I'm getting bored of them. :P
The superhero wannabe below is Tze Hwee. He amused us throughout the whole trip with his wild antics and lame jokes. I guess you could call him Captain Laughter? He certainly gave us an endless supply of it. Too bad he had to spoil this pic though. The characters behind him are certainly much more beautiful. *ahem*
This lady beside me is Captain Laughter's gf, Siew Khuan. God knows how she puts up with him, but I guess behind every 'hero', there should be a sidekick. Only, rather than helping him in his quest to make everyone around him die of laughter, she seems to keep him from going into overkill. Good sidekick, this gal.
Finally, as you can see from the pic itself, this is our champion drinker, Shijin. He can outdrink anyone anytime anywhere. Don't even bother to challenge him, he'll drink you under the table. He's most fun when he's had a few drinks, when he gets all loud and crazy, otherwise you'll hardly get a word out of him.
Well, now that I've introduced the main characters, for this particular trip at least... Tune in for the next installment of Penang: The Road Trip.
*groan* This is so lame. At 5.00 in the morning, no less.

When everything is going great...
Posted by Hazellie at 11:04 PMWhen everything is going great...and you still feel down... Well, ok, maybe not everything. There are parts of my life which could definitely be better, but who am I to complain when there are so many more sorry asses out there, right?
But then again, I want to complain. I feel like complaining, and I will complain. So there.
I'm tired of going through this frustration and irritation. Sometimes I feel like everyone other than me is an idiot. Bah! So what if that's no way logically that could ever be true, sometimes it just feels that way. Try to tell someone something logical, and they look at you like a nitwit. HelloooOo? It's common sense! Any pig with a brain could tell you that! Bah!
Thank god Christmas is coming soon, at least all my 'Bah's won't go to waste. I could even add a 'Humbug' at the end of it. Bah Humbug! Halloween, Deepavali, Hari Raya, Thanksgiving, Christmas, New Year's...Bah Humbug to all of it!
If I could just rid the world of the stupid people...
